Across the district, staff, buildings get ready for the new school year
School officially starts on Tuesday, Sept. 6, but staff members from most of Anoka-Hennepin’s different programs, departments and schools have been streaming back into buildings this week as the start of the year ramps up.
Teachers new to Anoka-Hennepin that were hired over the summer kicked their year off with the annual new teacher orientation, held at Anoka High School (AHS) Aug. 23 through Aug. 25.
Meanwhile, on Aug. 24, the district’s Q-Comp department welcomed its full staff back and held training and orientation at the Educational Service Center (ESC) in Anoka.
On Aug. 25, the transportation department’s full slate of bus drivers, bus paraprofessionals, and crossing guards held their back-to-school orientation at AHS, and the Child Nutrition department’s staff of school nutrition professionals held their back-to-school meeting at Champlin Park High School the same day.
And of course, that’s just three examples. For more back-to-school information, visit anoka.k12.mn.us/bts.
