
Monroe Elementary Mathematics, Science, and Children's Engineering School is part of the Northwest Suburban Integration School District. Northwest Suburban is a consortium of eight member districts that include: Anoka-Hennepin, Brooklyn Center, Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose, Elk River, Fridley, Moundsview, Osseo, and Rockford school districts.

Students who live outside of Monroe Elementary attendance area, but within one of the eight district listed above, can apply to Monroe through the NWS appication and transportation will be provided at no cost. Students residing in Monroe Elementary attendance area are automatically accepted and can enroll at any time by stopping in to fill out enrollment paperwork in the main office.
2012 - 2013 Magnet School Application
*Northwest Suburban is currently accepting applications for the 2013-2014 school year. The priority period for NWSISD applications will remain open for 2013-2014 school year until Jan 15, 2013.
All students that apply during the priority application period (October 15 - January 15) will be considered for assignment before any students that apply after the priority application period. NWSISD will maintain a waiting pool of students that apply but are not assigned to a NWSISD magnet school.
