School Social Worker Page Welcome! My name is Kathryn Scheuring and I am the School Social Worker at Franklin Elementary. I am at Franklin Monday-Friday, 8:30-4:10. My role is to assist children to be successful in school by supporting their social/emotional/behavioral growth. I facilitate classroom presentations on several topics including: bullying, successful school and friendship behaviors, life changes (personal change-family change-death and the grief cycle), communication, self-control skills, stress and coping skills. I also facilitate small groups at all grade levels, these groups typically meet 30 minutes a week during character education time. Additionally, I see children on an individual basis. Some of the typical concerns that children are referred for are: family change, death, social skills, anxiety/coping skills, self-control, behavioral, and mental health issues. I am also here to assist families access resources in the community. I am here to serve Franklin students and their families. Please contact me if I can be of assistance to you.
