Hi, my name is Amy Carroll and I am the School Social Worker at Adams Elementary. My main role is to help students, parents, and teachers identify and prevent problems for the student in the school setting. I provide support to students individually or in groups during the school day. Students are referred by teachers, parents, school staff and students themselves. I meet with students for a variety of reasons. Some examples include: friendship difficulties, self-esteem issues, separation anxiety, school refusal/school phobia, irregular attendance, illness or death in a family, divorce or separation, depression, anger, and anxiety.
