McKinley Media Center is located in the center of the 3rd-5th grade pod area. Students and staff are able to checkout from our large collection of books and periodicals. In addition there is a selection of videos, computer software, A-V and professional materials available for classroom use. The media center has a computerized checkout system and patrons can locate materials using the electronic catalog. Students, K-5th grades meet weekly with Mrs. Carroll for lessons on reference/research skills and literature appreciation. Special events include National Library Week and Bookweek celebrations, participation in the Minnesota Maud Hart Lovelace Reading Contest, Read Across America Day, and the annual fall conference Bookfair.
