Welcome to Technology Education.
The world is moving faster than ever before. We are living in a technological age. We use technology every day without realizing it. Those who will be successful in the future will be technologically literate. They will be able to use and adapt to changing technology. Technology Education will help middle school students to understand and use technology It is our intent that this will be a place students can get class information. Students will also be able to get help on projects. We also want to have information about our department and our after school programs such as Tech Clubs. |
What is Technology Educaton? |
Technology Education is problem-based learning in which students apply math, science, and technology principles to solve real-world problems. We want all students to become technologically literate...able to access, use, and be successful in a technological age. |
Open Lab Information |
 Students may need to spend some extra time on projects in the labs. We offer open lab time in the morning by appointments.
Appointments To make an appointment have student set that up with their Technology Teacher at least 2 days ahead of time. Many times we can accommodate requested lab time, but do not wait till the last minute before projects are due, because you may not get the time you need. |
 BRIDGE BUILDING PROGRAM AVAILABLE FREE
I have a great program that you can download for free and try out. West Point Bridge Designer is an awesome Bridge Building simulation software program. It really is fun. It lets you design, build, and test the bridges out on screen. Start out using the templates until you get the hang of it. If you build a great bridge, print it out to show me for extra credit. It only works on PCs with Windows operating systems. Sorry mac users :( To download it go to the Document Manager on the link bar on the left. Then just click on SetupSCE.exe to down load it. It is about 3 megs so it will take about 7 to 10 min. Once it's done downloading, click on it to install it on your computer. Let me know how you like it. |
