Welcome! Come check out what we are doing! Kindergarten-NEW UNIT! Interacting and Discovery! In this unit students will get to do a lot of exploring. They will use magnets, magnifying glasses, and other tools. Vocabulary: same, different, attract, repel, observation, compare . . . First Grade- NEW UNIT! Geography! We will be exploring tons of maps! We will look at what maps can tell us, how they help us, and things you might see on different maps. Vocabulary: landforms, mountains, plains, ocean, lake, river, globe, symbol, map key, state, town, continent, country, compass rose, geography . . Second Grade-NEW UNIT! American's Cultures! I am so excited about exploring the different culture groups that make up our great country! Students will be examining their own stories of how they came to live in this country as well as learning about how other came here too! Students will work with their families to create a Heritage Poster to tell about their special family. Vocabulary: culture, immigrant, tradition, diversity, ancestor, legend, symbol, multicultural . . Third Grade-Structures of Life-Third graders are learning about how intricate life is in this unit! Each organism is constructed in a way that helps it interact with its surrounding. We are getting to work hands on with some pretty cool organisms! Plants! What does it have the helps it survive?
