Hi, welcome to my home page! My name is Twyla George and I am the school social worker at Mississippi Elementary School! I am in my office from 8:10-3:50 Monday-Friday. My phone number is 763-506-3580. I welcome phone calls and emails from parents. My main role is to assist students to be successful in school by supporting their social and emotional needs. I am also available to help parents find community resources, such as counseling, emergency housing, food shelves, etc.

Services I can provide include: individual counseling, small support groups, staff and classroom presentations, and consulting with outside agencies involved with students. Topics dealt with by school social workers include bullying and harassment, parental separation and divorce, abuse and neglect, grief and loss issues, moving, parental incarceration, addiction, homelessness, unemployment, and mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, attachment issues, oppositional defiant disorder, etc.
