My name is Sue Johnson. I have been teaching for twenty years in the Anoka-Hennepin School District: eight years in the School Readiness Preschool Program, eight years in Kindergarten and this is my fifth year teaching first grade! I love teaching: it is so exciting to watch each child learn and grow throughout the year. I am very excited to share your child's first grade year with you!

My husband, Scott, and I have a home in Andover and have three children. Our oldest daughter, coaches tennis and her and her husband, have a daughter: Emma!  Kara has finished her degree in Design Technology at Bemidji University, works for a nonprofit organization and also coaches tennis. Our son, Jake, is beginning his first year of college at Bethel University. As a family we love to travel (especially to warm places), we enjoy playing tennis, we love to watch baseball and basketball games, and we spend many nights taking our two Golden Retrievers for walks.  Most importantly we love to spend time with our grandchild, Emma!

I hope this website helps you connect with our classroom! I will do my best this year to update it with the peek of the week, monthly announcements and pictures. Be patient with me, this is an area I try my best at and each year set goals to do better! Please check out the useful links for kids: there are some fun and educational games!
