B2G Blast Off
There has been an explosion of interest by students and staff in the new B2G program. In the first two weeks the number of students eating breakfast at school has doubled (135 students to 280 students). A typical B2G is a milk, plum, and a Smucker’s peanut butter and jelly sandwich or on Fridays fruit and a yogurt breakfast parfait with apple juice. Several reasons may explain the blast of interest- serving B2G in the main lobby, the paper boats the students can fill with healthy choices and the support of teachers to allow students to eat in the classroom. Whatever the reasons more students are eating breakfast which hopefully translates into better health and learning. By the way hot breakfast continues to be served simultaneously in the downstairs cafeteria. |

Gaming
Today's online games let you chat with other players either through instant messages or voice chat. Some games reach around the world and they can expose children and teens to people who have more than gaming on their mind. Many games allow anonymous chat. Some creeps take advantage of this send inappropriate messages or even to try to arrange in-person meetings. Cyberbullies can harass fellow gamers and online scam artists may promise virtual goods in an effort to get credit card information. Click here to see tips for online gaming safety.
