Welcome to the Prevention Page

As a community we need to continue to suppot all of our children as they become young men and women.  Within our community we need to build a dialogue with our children by providing adequate resources and necessary information in order for young people to make sound decisions and choices in their lives, particularly when it involves high risk categories such as Alcohol, Drugs and Tobacco use.

As the Prevention Specialist at Champlin Park High School,  I provide resources and support to students and their families.  My name is Jackie Sandusky again this year I will meet with individual students on a daily basis to address their needs.  Each week I will facilitate groups of students rearding specific issues such as Grief, Family Change/Concerned Persons, Sobriety, and Anger Management to name afew.  the Prevention Office will provide pamphlets and handouts on topics such as Eating Disorders, Alcohol and Drug Awareness, Depression, Chemical Dependency, and Tobacco use.  There are materials available for parents to educate themselves about these issues as well.  I will continue to have an open door policy.  Students are encouraged to drop in anytime to see me, or they can make an appointment if they would like.  I am located in the Main Office and my office number is 763-506-7024.
