Please read this page in its entirety. Session proposals due February 4, 2013. This is a firm deadline. Presenters/Facilitators will be notified by February 24th as to whether or not their session proposal will be included in the 2013 Summer Institute catalog. Presenters/Facilitators will get confirmation that their session(s) has enough enrollment to be held and will receive audience information starting May 9th, 2013. Out of town speakers should not make travel or lodging accommodations until they have received confirmation. Copy requests need to be turned in for duplication to the ESC Copy Center (2727 North Ferrry St. Anoka, MN) by July 9, 2013. Originals may be sent either in hard copy or electronically in a PDF format. Presenters may pick up their copies at the ESC prior to July 22, or in the Summer Institute headquarters at Andover High School on the day of their session. Presenters will not be reimbursed for copies made at any other site other than the ESC Copy Center. During Summer Institute, photocopying resources are limited, so presenters must plan ahead. Presenters* will be paid according to their working agreement, see Article 10, Section 10, Sub Div. 4. Facilitators* will be paid $15 per hour for facilitating a session. The presenter rate includes payment for preparation. Both presenters and facilitators, if they are district personnel, will also receive the appropriate stipend for being at the Summer Institute. There is a limit of two paid presenters or two paid facilitators per session. Rationale must be provided if more than one presenter/facilitator is requested. Non-distrct presenters/facilitators need to complete a Services Rendered Agreement and submit by August 10, 2013. See the tab on the left called Forms to Download and complete the Services Rendered Agreement. If you submitted a proposal for an Non-district presenter it is your responsiblity, as the host, to forward the Services Rendered Agreement to the presenter. *Presenters lead the session and provide participants with new information. Facilitators do not present new information to the participants, but rather "move the discussion along." This is a session designed for people with similar interests to get together and discuss, or provide a structure for sharing of ideas or materials. Presenters spend considerable time gathering and organizing materials and preparing to share with the participants. Facilitators spend little time preparing for the session.
