The Parent Involvement Mission
The mission of the Parent Involvement Program is to foster partnerships between Anoka-Hennepin schools, families, and the community to increase student achievement. Every day, these partnerships make a positive difference for Anoka-Hennepin students by:

  • Supporting learning activities at home
  • Volunteering in the schools
  • Serving on decision-making groups in schools or the community (PTOs, Boosters, Others)
  • Attending student performances, sporting games or other events
  • Attending workshops or classes to grow as parents

School Board Partners! In September of 2003 the Anoka-Hennepin School Board made clear its commitment to partnership by passing the School, Family and Community Partnership Policy. The policy outlines a vision of adults working together in many different ways to improve student achievement. It confirms the principles on which the Program was built, and explains that the opportunity for partnership lies not just within that particular program, but within each family, each school and each community.

Partnerships make a difference for students in Anoka-Hennepin!
