Rum River Adventures Plus School Age Child Care - Adventures Plus is a school-age childcare program designed to meet the needs of children and families through quality programming. We provide a safe, creative environment for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Call 763-506-1400. Or send an email to Julie.morris@anoka.k12.mn.us. Welcome: We strive to provide learning experiences and opportunities to develop relationships, self -confidence, and respect for others. This is accomplished through free choice as well as the Site Leader’s planned activities. Activities include arts & crafts, music & literature, science, computer lab games, outdoor play, gym, small and large group activities, and an opportunity to do homework. In Rum River’s A.M. session we break students off according to their grade. We do this to better be able to meet the needs of the children we care for in the mornings. Each group rotates through their planned morning activities within their groups or chooses to opt out of the planned activity and can choose to play games in our free choice area. Breakfast is offered daily and is paid for by Adventures Plus. In our P.M. session we are all together as one group. The children receive an afternoon snack and then have a chance to do homework, attend gym or play outdoors, conduct a science experiment, create an art project, or participate in one of our free choice centers. Descriptions of program options and rate information: Competitive pricing for convenient and quality care Adventures Plus offers the convenience of quality in-school child care at prices that are competitive with child care providers in this area. 2012-2013 rates PM Session (school dismissal time to 6:00 p.m.) School Release Days (6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) Daily rate $30 if paid by the 22nd of the previous month, otherwise the cost is $40 and care is not guaranteed. (Available for K-5 and Middle School Grades 6 and 7.) (All rates subject to change) |
