RESEARCH, EVALUATION AND TESTING

Our Purpose
The Research, Evaluation, and Testing Department (RET) facilitates testing for students in kindergarten through grade 12. We also promote and facilitate the use of data to better meet the needs of every student in our district.

We are committed to improving student achievement through gathering and analyzing perception, program, demographic, and performance data.

Research and Evaluation
RET provides assistance and support to measure the effectiveness of a variety of district programs to determine which programs and processes are getting the desired results.

We also assist curriculum study and text-book adoption committees in assessing curricular achievement needs. In addition, we conduct studies and surveys on selective district initiatives.

Testing
The Department coordinates district-wide testing, including state and national assessments, occurings in Anoka-Hennepin ISD#11. Along with handling the distribution and collection of secure test materials, we maintain test records, distribute test results to parents and students, and provide analysis, both individual and aggregated, to teachers, principals and district leadership. By doing this, we promote and measure accountability to meet local, state and federal requirements.
