AMSA School Supplies

The following list of supplies is recommended for use throughout the school year. Book Bags may be used for bringing items to and from school but are not to be in classrooms.  Student Work Logs, for recording assignments, will be distributed the first day of school.

 

Note:  A few supplies, specific to individual teachers and assignments, may be requested during open house or after school begins.

 

Math (all grades):  A scientific calculator such as those made by Texas Instruments, Casio and Sharp Electronics, is recommended for all classes.  Cost is estimated to be between $10 and $20.  Calculators will be available to purchase at open house.

 

Geometry and Algebra II (all grades): Students may wish to have a TI-84 Plus for use at home.  A classroom set will be available for student use in school.  Keeping a personal calculator at home may reduce the chance of theft or loss.

6th Grade Supplies

The following list represents MOST of the supplies needed for 6th grade students for the school year:

  • Individual Wireless Notebooks with perforated sheets (10-12 notebooks for the entire year)

8th Grade Supplies

The following list represents MOST of the supplies needed for 8th grade students for the school year:

Additional Supplies for Elective Classes

If a student will be taking one of the following courses, these supplies are neededin addition to the general supplies for each grade.

  To avoid purchasing unneeded items, families may wish to wait until students get their schedules to purchase the supplies shown below
