* Parent/Teacher Conferences - Requests should be made 2-3 weeks in advance.  If possible, try to schedule same languages back-to-back.  Take into consideration that newcomer families may need more time during conferences at the beginning of the year.  Interpreters are paid for 2 hours minimum whether or not they are there for the entire time.

* All Other - Requests should be made as soon as possible.  Usually one week before is enough time to fill the request.

•   Location of appointment  (Ex. Andover Elementary)
•   Reason for appointment (Ex. Conference)

•   Parent(s) name and number (Ex. Bill and Mary Doe)
•   Requestors name and number  (Ex. Staff Name, 763-506-XXXX)

Staff will receive confirmation on request via email or phone call by Sara Davis.  It is important to save these confirmations in case someone does not show up.  If the parent does not show up and the interpreter is present, have the interpreter call home to see what the situation is.  It may be possible to conference over the phone.

To avoid payment, cancellations must be made two business days prior to appointment date/time.

•   Average cost of an interpreter is $50.00 per/hr. with a two hour minimum
•   When requesting an interpreter, you are guaranteed that interpreter's time for two hours.  If you need an interpreter for longer than two hours, you must request the length of time.
