Task One A one 100-word paragraph written by the team on teaming and communication (how it progressed between: students, students and the teacher, and students and the technical advisor)
Teaming Teaming and communication has progressed exponentially throughout the school year. Between students, focusing on one idea was the toughest aspect of communication. With five individual girls in our group, our ideas differed significantly from developing a new carpeting system, to glow in the dark animal proteins, to our final project being an indoor/outdoor small GPS. After we decided on one idea, the quality of communication increased. Between students and teachers, the communication was consistent as well as with our mentor. This solid communication was necessary because without such great relationships, our project would not have progressed as it did.
Task Two A one 100-word paragraph written by the team on research and innovation (what your team learned about researching and innovating a solution to a real world problem)
Research and Innovation Our team learned that innovation requires that people work with what is possible right now and make it better to create something that was once impossible. It also requires a lot of knowledge and research about the problem people are trying to solve. Our team also learned that researching a solution to a real world problem can be difficult if a lot of the information about the problem is in technical terms that one does not understand. It also can be interesting to research and learn about the new ideas that are being explored. Innovation and research help to build a better future.
Task Three Three lessons your team learned during the program's duration
Lessons Learned
Our team learned that while something is causing division in the group now, you will be laughing about it what the project is done. We also learned that if everybody does their part, working in a group can allow people to do much more than they could individually. A third thing we learned is that tasks need to be assigned so that each member will be able to use her strengths.
