Component three

Task 1: Provide a forecast of what the workforce demand would be over a five year period to produce and market your team;s technical application or process. Include the impact such production would have on the market place.

The Workfoce Demand would Increase at a constant rate over a five year period. The first year would consist of mostly marketing our product. It would also consist of manufacturing our product but not at that high of a rate. As the years progress as our product is more familiar on the market our sales will increase resulting in a having to order more and more parts for our Bobber. Local machine shops could make our Bobber encsasement at a cheaper price per quantity. As well as Local Machine shops, Digikey and other smart intellegent processing equipement manufactuers offer cheaper prices as the quantity goes up aswell. After two to three years pass, and higher demand for the product due to its place on the market, we can continue to order large quantitys of parts and open our own shop and hire people to assemble and ship our product. By Year four and five we predict our sales to be consistant and being able to continue the same process as before.

Task 2: Give two examples of undergraduate or graduate degree programs in science or engineering that directly relate to your team's NCT technical application.

Communication and Signal Processing.

Communication and signal processing are fields in electrical and computer engineering. Communication is the process of transferring information from one point in time and space to another. Signal processing deals with signal representation, signal design and filtering. Our produt closely relates to this field because it is wireless. As our world continues to go wireless, which makes our product function, this would be a closely related field.

Electronics and Microelectronics:

Electronics and microeletronics involves working with integrated circuits, transistors, lasers, consumer electronics, defense electronics and electronic materials. Being our bobber consists of an intergrated circuit as well as being a consumer product we feel this is also a good match.

Task 3: Develop an idea for a new science and or engineering degree program that might emerge given the advancements in scientific knowledge that the team has identified, Provide a title and a 100 word description of this new degree Program.

Wireless Production Engineering

As our world Advances Every day in technology, A great portion of the advancement is Due to Wireless technology. Wireless Production Engineering would be a field where you would learn how to Design two circuits to operate together wirelessly at a great distance to actually producing the product. It would be a subcategory of Electrical Engineering and Manufacturing. You would be working with building circuits and turning it into a product. This filed would be strictly focusing on these processes which as stated before is a huge part of our world today.
