Requirements for Task 1: Provide a forecast of what the workforce demand would be over a five-year period to produce and market your team’s technical application or process. Include the impact such production would have on the marketplace. Task 1 The workforce demand for a five year period would be about 1,250,000 people total including financial managers, quality control, advertisment, development, engineers, repair teams, assembly teams, etc. The impact that our project would have on the marketplace would be highly significant due to the fact we are greatly reducing the need to have local and state law enforcement and that alone will cause shock waves throughout the marketplace not to mention that all cars would have to be updates with this product.
Requirements for Task 2: Give two examples of undergraduate or graduate degree programs in science or engineering that directly relate to your team's NCT technical application. For each program, be sure to include the following: >the URL address of the institution >the department (for example, chemical engineering, electronic engineering) where the program is offered >a brief description of the program of study. Task 2 The First University is, The Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University was founded in 1979 by Raj Reddy, Tom Murrin, and Angel Jordan. They have made many advances in robotics and their field of research varies. They have done work in industrial robotics and also robotics that aid in other topics of research. More recently they have been creating robotic cars and robots that help the elderly and disabled. One of the more interesting things they’ve worked on is a robot that is designed to research in harsh environments in which we cannot. To date they are still making large advances within the world of robotics. The Second Institution is, The program at Dunwoody College of Technology is aimed for educating applicants in the latest fields of autonomous robotics including Programmable Logic Controllers, and electronic sensors. The program trains people to be able to do a wide range of tasks in this field. All applicants are trained in making these items to be completely automated. The program offers an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in autonomous robotics. The program is in electronic engineering.
Requirements for Task 3: Develop an idea for a new science and/or engineering degree program that might emerge given the advancements in scientific knowledge that the team has identified. Provide a title and 100-word description of this new degree program. Task 3: The idea for a new science degree program I have created is Robotic Engineering. It would be a college degree that would focus on teaching the students in the program the engineering for the design and programming of autonomous robots and their practical use in society. Since the design would vary, it would probably focus on a general engineering base, and have a large focus on the actual programming, as it must be very specific to make sure the robot can sustain itself and adapt to its environment. |
