Three Lessons

Some lessons our team has learned and perfected throughout the project are one using our time wisely. At first we were not using our time to its full potential benefits but then we realized we would have to use every second we have to get this project done. Second is knowing how to find good research websites to gain knowledge on our category which is autonomous robots. The third lesson we learned is to pay attention in class when the teacher is explaining how to do something on our projects. At first we weren’t exactly sure what to do on our projects but then we started to pay attention in class and everything came much easier.

  Communications

 In the first week or so we had troubles communicating and quickly fell behind because we couldn’t decide on anything. But then we realized we would have to learn to work together if we wanted to finish this project. We also used other ways to communicate with people to improve our projects. We had a technical advisor that we contacted about once a week to discuss problems and questions we had on our website. She brought up very good points and things we could do to improve our project. Finally we asked our teacher to look over our project to make sure we have no missing or bad parts of our websites. 

Innovation and Research 

 We had to make many changes to our project throughout the time we had to complete our website first we thought our robot with treads would drill through the ice at spots we picked. But now is built to have a sensor that can measure in front of itself so it doesn’t fall through the ice and can find a safe path for people to travel on the ice. WE also planned on the robot to be smaller than what we ended up coming up with so it could more easily maneuver over objects such as snow. Finally our research has given us about half of our innovations to are project and are essential to improving a product.
