Volunteers make a world of difference at Jefferson Elementary

Listed below are the current and upcoming opportunities available at Jefferson. Open house folder stuffing - Wed August 27th, 9:00-12:00

6-8 volunteers needed to help prepare folders for open house.  Contact Cory Knapp via email if interested in helping


Helping students with lunchroom PIN numbers-Tues Sept 2nd-Tues Sept 16th, 11:00-1:30

4 volunteers needed each day.  Very important volunteer opportunity, volunteers help to make sure students get through the lunch line quickly so that everyone has enough time to eat their lunch.


Kindergarten Skillbuikder Volunteers - 3-4 additional volunteers needed

1 1/2 hours (9:30-11:00), one day a week, working with students that need additional one on one practice in math and literacy.

Training class date and time to be scheduled soon


Destination Imagination Leaders - meet once a week with group of 7 creative, problem solving, outside the box thinking students. Culminates with a district tournament in March.  Students are grouped by grade level.


Challenge Reading Leaders - meet once a week with small group of above grade level readers before or after school for 50-60 minutes


Math Plus Leaders - meet once a week with small group of above grade level math students before or after school for 50-60 minutes.
