NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

About Us:
All 10th and 11th graders who have achieved the minimum Andover NHS GPA requirement (weighted 3.8) may become candidates for NHS membership each year. Freshman may NOT apply. Once inducted into NHS, you remain a member until graduation upon completion of:

* 20 individual community service hours each year of membership
* 10 hours of volunteerism toward an NHS large group project
* attendance at meetings (twice a month)
* upholding NHS pillars (scholarship, leadership, character, and service)

The process consists of four parts, correlating with the four pillars of the national organization – Scholarship, Leadership, Character, & Service. All four parts are EQUALLY examined by a panel of AHS faculty to determine if a candidate should be inducted into the Andover Chapter of National Honor
Society.
