Task One Provide a forecast of what the workforce demand would be over a five-year period to produce and market your team's technical application or process. Include the impact such production would have on the marketplace. In five years, the LPS Satellites will have a bunch of satellites already completed and will have more on the way. There will also have been initial satellite launches by shuttle. Shuttle maintenance in lunar orbit. Expanding and upgrading software in the individual modules, after the test software will not be able to function. LPS sends detailed maps of possible colony sites back to the reciever. NASA analyzes the data and creates requisition requests for a colonization effort. Contruction begins on lunar colonies and people begin to colonizeon the moon. |
Task Two Give two examples of undergraduate or graduate degree programs in science or engineering that directly relate to your team's NCT technical application. For each program, be sure to include the following: the URL address of the institution, the department (for example, chemical engineering, electronic engineering) where the program is offered, and a brief description of the program of study. My program will be one that will give people the opportunity of a lifetime. Participants will go on a month long GPS scavenger hunt around the world. They will be given GPS coordinates and then have to find many famous landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, Great Wall of China, and many places in between. This will help to prepare them for the LPS scavenger hunt on the moon coming up in six months. After relaxing from the first trip, all participants will go to the moon to test their GPS skills with our new Lunar Positioning System (LPS). They will spend three weeks exploring and learning about the moon while doing a scavenger hunt. |
Task Three Develop an idea for a new science and/or engineering degree program that might emerge given the advancements in scientific knowledge that the team has identified. Provide a title and a 100-word description of this new degree program. Our new degree program will be one that will give people the opportunity of a lifetime.
