9:15 Arrival and Calendar  

The children are welcomed to school. This time is devoted to doing the calendar, assigning helpers for the day, and introducing new activities.

 9:30 Choice Time

The children have the opportunity to learn through play by exploring the materials in each of our learning centers.

10:10 Clean Up

Children gain a sense of responsibility and work as a group member to help pick up toys and put materials back on the shelves.

10:15 Large Group

Children gather together for circle time to listen to a story and participate in group activities such as singing, dancing, large motor games and acting out stories.  We also review the alphabet chart and sound map. 

10:35 Hand Washing and Snack

This time allows us to encourage good hygiene, health and nutrition. It also gives children the opportunity to practice language and social skills.

10:45 Small Group

The teachers work more closely with smaller groups of children on cognitive and manipulative activities.

10:55   Outside Play

The playground provides opportunities that encourage the use of social and language skills. The children can also work on developing their large motor skills.

11:10 Dismissal

The children gather their belongings and prepare to go home.
