Supportive Communities Community leaders from small towns and rural areas recognized the need to provide students with the best education possible back in 1952 when they voted overwhelmingly in favor of consolidating into Anoka-Hennepin School District 11. Since that time, the community has provided financial support to build schools, provide modern technology, and develop and maintain strong educational programs. Excellent Educational Programs and School Choice Students in all of the district's schools have access to the same quality programs. For the most part, students attend the school designated for their neighborhood. In addition, the district operates a number of specialty schools to give parents choices. Each specialty school is open to students from throughout the school district by application. Specialty schools or programs offer the same great basic curriculum as other district schools, but each also has its own special twist. Some of the district's specialty schools are offered in cooperation with the NorthWest Suburban Integration School District (NWSISD). Click here to visit NWSISD.
