Although graduation and college may seem along way off, now is the time to start planning. If you are planning to attend a four year college after graduation or are unsure of your plans you should register to take an ACT or SAT exam in the spring of your junior year. All students are strongly recommended to register for the complete test that includes the writing section.  The ACT is the most popular test with students from CPHS and is accepted at four year colleges  nationwide.  

Students do not need to take both, but rather should choose ONE and prepare for it.

The following is a schedule of test dates and registration deadlines for the upcoming year:

Please Note : Most juniors will test in April or June. Registration packets are available in the Career Center. Students can also register on line at www.act.org . Champlin Park is a test center for all test dates. However in order to guarantee your student will be assigned here you must register early. Failure to do so could result in being assigned by ACT to a school anywhere from 10-30 miles from CPHS. Also students who receive free/reduced lunches should check with the Career Center staff for a one time Fee Waiver from ACT or SAT.
