Music Curriculum |
We have incorporated the new UbD curriculum, along with the Gordon curriculum, and the Macmillan Share the Music textbook series. There is a suggested district-wide song repertoire list for each grade level based on the Sing America! and Centennial Songbook anthologies . The Twenty eight elementary music specialists in the Anoka-Hennepin School District continue to share varying areas of expertise as leaders in Orff-Schulwek, Kodaly, Dalcroze, music appreciation, voice technique, multicultural knowledge, classroom management and technology. Emphasis has been the establishment of an aural vocabulary of musical patterns. When readiness is established through the sound before sight approach, students are then given the opportunity to become musically literate. . |
