Welcome to Franklin Elementary!

Hello, and welcome to our Franklin web site. We hope that this website provides useful information about our school. My name is Vickie Spindler and I am fortunate to serve as the principal of Franklin Elementary!

The school has a long history of partnering with the community to make Franklin a great place for children, families, and staff. Franklin brings together about 460 students, kindergarten through fifth grade, who live in the Anoka and Ramsey communities.  Franklin strives to be a partner in the broader community as well as to create a community within our school. Students are expected to be respectful, show kindness and compassion, act responsibly, be honest and trustworthy, demonstrate good work habits, and act courteously toward others. Our students demonstrate a commitment to making Franklin and the surrounding community a “better place for all” through community service as well as good citizenship.

The 2012-13 school year is going to be another busy and exciting year for students and staff. We continue to work on our goal of increasing student skills in the areas of reading, writing, and math. The Franklin staff, PTO and community are committed to a strong educational program for all children. We are extremely proud of the hard work and success demonstrated by Franklin students! Communication and teamwork are important at Franklin.  We value parent and community involvement; we also recognize that parent involvement includes the support provided for a child at home as well as in the school. Franklin is a great place for children to receive an education, for parents to be involved in their children’s educational experience, and for staff to partner with parents to meet the needs of each and every student.
