WELCOME AND CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order at 7:03PM by Greg Zandlo.

TREASURERS REPORT: MSC
Barnes and Nobles night brought in about $525. Adams shirts
brought in $500.
PRINCIPAL’S REPORT: NANCY LEBA
New Community Education Coordinator: Lisa Boone. A number of student
teachers at this time. A new Tiltle I Para has been hired. Nancy
thanked the contributions of all the parent volunteers this past quarter.
Thanks to Greg and Sandy Zandlo for coordinating Barnes and Nobles night.
Thanks to Jennifer Bendel-Artman for her help with the Levy promotion.
Fire Prevention week was this month. Nicole Scheper was the winner of the
Fire Safety poster contest. Lock Down practice was this past week; went
well.
GUEST SPEAKER: Lynn Montgomery Test Scores
and Student Accountability
The Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments test reading, writing, and math
basics. The basic test is 8th Grade. The Prepatory Standards tests are
for Grades 3 and 5. These tests results can be found in detail at the Children,
Family, & Learning Web site: http://cfl.state.mn.us/. Recognition of
Lynn’s Contributions to Adams PAC.
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR REPORT: Adrienne Schrunk
Acknowledged $500 donation from Reynolds toward purchase of new computer.
Golden Apple Awards displayed by entrance.
Caroling at Fuddruckers on Dec. 12 from 5-8 PM.
Kid’s Only Shop is December 7, with setup on December 6.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Programs: Drew Lundquist not present
Public Relations: Dave Knauber. No report
Needs and Resources: Greg Zandlo
5 needs approved by committee, 5 pending more information.

Barnes and Nobles Night did well. Needs and Resources approved list:

COMMUNITY EDUCATION: Lisa Boone
Lisa Boone introduced herself and reported a Holiday Tree as a parent/child
class available soon.
Turkey Olympics is November 19 (will coordinate with Marv Reynolds).
Family Safety night is November 18, with DNA kits available for $5.
Lisa emphasized that Community Education is for everyone, even those
with special needs.
CRAFT DISCUSSION: Dawn Appelquist and Barb Dupont
Kits for KOS are purchased (800 crafts), need Ziplocs bags and glue.
Concern expressed about those children unable to buy kits. Have available
coloring of the gift bags at a table. Discussion on price of kits: final
decision to be made by KOS committee.
OPEN FORUM:
Need for used underwear for clothes closet, all sizes.
Kmart and Old Country Buffet fundraisers brought up. Not deemed useful
by PAC.
District #11 Parent Group needs a representative from our PAC. Next
meeting November 11 at the Staff Development Center (Anoka).
