Answers
1)  Q Why can't I use my Blackberry Device to synchronize with Exchange?
A

Blackberry Devices, by design, require the district to buy more servers to support. In addition, for each Blackberry user account, the District would be required to buy a "CAL", or Client Access License. By adding Blackberry support, the District would also have to redesign its account structure - at a large cost in extra servers and staff time. At this time, we simply cannot afford to support Blackberry devices.

Blackberry users, if they have an internet-browser-capable device, can access district email through their device browser and using Outlook Web Access.

2)  Q Why do I keep receiving a Over Limit message from my email?
A

Currently, each user is alloted 50 Megabits of space on the Exchange server. There are very easy ways for users to manage their Exchange space in both Entourage and Outlook.

4)  Q Why does mail from a district employee show up in my junk mail folder?
A

Entourage users sometimes receive legitimate mail in their junk mail folder. This is related to how Entourage filters mail and is easy to fix. First of all, since the district has a very good mail filter, it's easiest if users just turn off the extra junk mail filtering in Entourage. Go to the Tools menu and choose Junk EMail Protection. Then click the None radio button and click the OK button and you're set.

If you prefer to use the Entourage filters in addition to what the district already has in place, click here for additional instructions (refer to step 5) on how to add domains to the Safe Domains list.

10)  Q I've changed computers. How do I get my filed mail back?
A

For all users:when you move from one computer to another, anything from your email account that is actually stored on the Exchange server - that would be anything in your inbox, sent items, deleted items, anything that isn't stored under "On my Computer" in Entourage or "Personal Folders" in Outlook - will automatically move to your new computer with you. Items in the "Personal Folders" in Outlook or "On My Computer" area in Entourage will need to be moved separately.
Some preparation will need to be done before you leave your current computer.
