Q |
What happens to my child in the case of an emergency closing or school closing? |
 |
A |
If school is closed for any reason during the school day and students will be sent home on their usual end of the day bus. We ask families to have their own emergency closing plan in place. If you know that no one will be home in time for your child when they get off their bus, you may want to have an alternate neighborhood house to have your child report to. Emergency closings are always announced on WCCO 830 AM radio. Please help keep our phone lines open by listening to the radio announcements instead of calling the office during these days. |

You are always welcome at Ramsey School; however, for everyone's safety, all visitors must sign in at the office and wear a Visitor's Pass. For classroom visits, it is necessary to make arrangements with the teacher.
Parents are welcome to eat lunch with their child. Please check with your child or the school webpage to find out your child's lunch time. Please come as close as possible to the lunch time. |

Q |
If my child is absent from school, how can I get homework
for them? |
 |
A |
You may get homework for your child by calling the office before noon of the day you'd like to pick it up. This gives the teacher time to get the
homework together and get it to the office. You may pick the homework up in the office after 3:50 PM. The office is open until 4:30 PM. |

Q |
What do I do if I need to pick my child up at the end of the day or during the school day? |
 |
A |
Please communicate with your child your intent to pick them up at the end of the day. Send a note to their teacher to let them know. Please choose either the north or south student drop off location to pick up your child and communicate this location to your child and to your child's teacher. At the end of the day, you will need to meet your child at the drop off location. If you know you're going to be picking up your child every day or on a regular basis, please send a note to the teacher
indicating this information. If you did not know you were going to pick
your child up before your child left for school and were unable to send a note, please call the office as soon as you know so we can let the teacher and your child know. This also helps us to avoid interrupting
the classroom at the end of the day. Students who ride the bus and do not have a note indicating they they were to be picked up will be sent home on the bus.
During the Day, you will need to pick your student up in the office. |
