Answers
1)  Q What does a part-time STEP class schedule look like?
A
The student would attend the STEP career class for one-half of the school day. Either in the morning or the afternoon. the remainder of the day would be spent at the home high school. Anoka-Hennepin students would be bussed to and from the home high school to STEP for their class.
2)  Q What does a full-time STEP class schedule look like?
A
The student would attend the STEP career class for one-half of the school day - either in the morning or the afternoon. The remainder of the day will be spent at STEP in English, social studies, math or science. The student will register for the specific courses needed for graduation. Anoka-Hennepin students can be bussed to and from the home high school to STEP for their classes. Anoka-Hennepin students and OPEN ENROLLMENT students may drive to STEP instead of riding the bus.
3)  Q Does it cost anything to attend STEP?

There is no tuition for any of the STEP classes.

5)  Q What is the process students from districts other than Anoka-Hennepin need to follow to OPEN ENROLL in STEP?
A
Students from outside of Anoka-Hennepin need to complete an application blank. Fill out the attached forms and e-mail back to Alyssa.Zemple@anoka.k12.mn.us or mail to STEP. Once a student is notified that he/she is accepted at STEP, he/she must notify their home district about the change in their status.
