The largest school district in Minnesota, Anoka-Hennepin School District covers 172 square miles in portions of two counties and 13 municipalities. It serves approximately 39,000 students and 248,000 residents in the following municipalities: Andover, Anoka, Blaine, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Champlin, Coon Rapids, Dayton, Fridley, Ham Lake, Nowthen, Oak Grove and Ramsey. The district was established in 1952.
