The original 2011-12 calendar had Jan. 2, 2012, scheduled as a school day.
Because Jan. 1, 2012, falls on a Sunday, Jan. 2, is a holiday. It would
be illegal to hold school that day. Under the adjusted calendar, school will be in session Thursday, Dec.
22, 2011, and there will be no school Monday, Jan. 2, 2012.
